Karen has been in the dental field since 1985. She started as a dental assistant and transitioned to office manager in 1990. She works with our team at First State Dental to ensure all our patients receive the highest level of customer service for insurance needs and questions, scheduling, and all financial arrangements.
She enjoys spending time with her family and time at the beach.

Office Administrator
Jennifer was born and raised in Wilmington. She joined First State Dental in March of 2019, after working in the medical field for 18 years.
She loves spending time with family and friends. She also enjoys going to the beach and reading.

Check in Coordinator
Nicole is the face greeting you at the front desk. She has been a receptionist in the medical field for over five years. Nicole loves to smile, laugh, and interact with patients and staff.

Doctor’s Coordinator
Ashley is a warm presence and a dependable spirit. She brings 15 years of medical experience to her role, a background that highlights her trustworthiness, loyalty, and genuine support for others. Ashley’s greatest pride is being a mom. Outside of work, she enjoys quality time with family and friends. She also enjoys traveling and exploring new places. And when adventures can wait, you’ll find her savoring a cozy movie night in.

Erin is a committed professional who enjoys spreading positivity and maintaining focus in her work. Outside of the office, she can usually be found at the beach, reading a good book, or spending quality time with her loved ones.

Insurance & New Patient Coordinator
Brenda served 3 1/2 years in the Navy as a dental assistant. She has been in the medical and dental fields for 40 years. She lives in Elkton with her husband of 26 years, Mark, and her two Chesapeake Bay retrievers. She has one son, Deric.
Brenda enjoys refurbishing old furniture.

Dental Hygienist
Sue has been working in the dental field since 1987 and has been a dental hygienist since 1990. She has been working at First State Dental since June 2007. She prides herself on making her patients feel comfortable and at ease.
She is known for her gentle touch and bubbly personality. She enjoys working in her yard, spending time with family, friends, and her dog.

Dental Hygienist
Stephanie is excited to be a part of the First State Family. She brings with her over 25 years of experience. She enjoys spending time with her family, decorating large-scale events, and roller coasters.
Jessica
Dental Hygienist
Jessica has worked in the dental field since 2013 as an Orthodontic Technician. She went to Delaware Technical Community College where she received her Associate of Applied Science degree and became a Registered Dental Hygienist in 2021. She enjoys taking care of people, spending time with her loved ones, enjoys candles, and her favorite holiday is Christmas.
Ashley L
Dental Hygienist
Ashley graduated from Delaware Technical Community College's Dental Hygiene program in May 2023. She joined the First State Dental team in June of 2023. Ashely Loves meeting new patients and building a bond with them. When not at work, Ashley loves going to the beach with friends and spending time with her family, especially her 3 siblings. Ashley is a big Philly fan and is known to leave work early to catch a Birds or Philly game.

Dental Hygienist
Theresa graduated from Delaware Technical Community College's Dental Hygiene Program in 2016. She joined First State Dental in the summer of 2025. Theresa loves being a dental hygienist, promoting health and wellness, and building relationships with her patients. When she's not at work, Theresa enjoys working out, going to the beach, and traveling.
Her favorite thing to do is spend time with her friends and family!

Senior Dental Assistant & Implant Coordinator
Kelli has lived in Delaware all her life and has been a dental assistant for over 20 years. She joined First State Dental back in 2013. She loves working with people and making our patients feel comfortable during their procedures.
She loves spending time with family and friends, most importantly her husband, Kevin, and son, Wyatt. She is an avid Phillies and Eagles fan.
Leslie
Senior Dental Assistant & Clinical Coordinator
Born and raised in Wilmington, Leslie graduated from Delcastle Technical High School in 1995 as a dental assistant. Leslie came to First State Dental in early 2016, bringing more than 25 years of experience.
Leslie enjoys spending time with friends and family at the beach or by the pool in the summer and camping and bonfires in the fall.

Chairside Dental Assistant
Ashley was born and raised in the city of Wilmington and graduated from Delcastle High School in 2009 as a medical assistant. She then returned to school and became a dental assistant in 2012. Since then her passion is to help people feel comfortable and put a smile on their face and make people laugh.
When not working, Ashley enjoys time with her husband and family and being with her 2 dogs!
Serena
I’m from Delaware and spend my days with a small but lively crew at home: two ducks named Dale and Gus, and a dog named Sadie. Most days, I hang out with my boyfriend, Max, and work on yet another project around the house.
Between quacks, tail wags, and DIY plans, life is never boring.

Born and raised in Claymont, DE until the age of 14 then moved to the outer city of Wilmington. Graduated from Howard High School of Technology as a dental assistant in 2002. Graduated from Harcum College with her associate of science degree as an E.F.D.A. in 2005.
She loves spending quality time with her daughter Aaliyah and son Hasani as well as close family and friends. She likes going to the beach, amusement & nature parks, and to the movies in her free time.

Clinical Support Assistant
Born and raised in New Jersey, she graduated from high school there before moving to Delaware in June 2011. She attended Dawn Career Institute to complete her dental assistant training in November 2017 and has been at First State Dental since December 2020. She has been married to her husband Tyler since October 15, 2022, and they have one daughter, Victoria.
In her free time, Katelynn enjoys going to the beach, attending sporting events, and watching her daughter perform at dance competitions.
